From time to time, our Care Homes are pleased to host special events both within the Home and as part of the local communities; we'll endeavour to publish details of these as they occur, in addition to interesting News from each of our Homes, too.

11am - 4pm Saturday 31st August

Staff and residents of Glebe House Care Home, Cumnock Road in Dalmellington, are delighted to invite members of the local community to join them for a day of family fun to celebrate the launch of their newly refurbished facilities.

Situated in the heart of Ayrshire, Glebe House is a purpose built Care Home that provides a superior standard of accommodation for a total of 42 elderly residents. Offering 24 hour nursing care from an experienced staff for those with a range of healthcare needs; including dementia, elderly learning disabilities. Following recent upgrades, the Home now boasts refurbished bedrooms, dining rooms, a new over-night room for resident families, as well as a revamped hair salon.

Glebe House Care Home Manager, Kym Baker, who has over 13 years’ experience in the industry, said:

“We are extremely pleased with the results of our recent refurbishment and can’t wait to share our new facilities with the public. All our staff and residents are really looking forward to the Fun Day – we have so much going on including a BBQ, Home Baking , Refreshments Bouncy Castle, Face Painting, Beat the Goalie, and much more! Famous Psychic, Tom Elliot from The Sun Newspaper, will also be available throughout the day to do private readings. We’ll even have a Car Boot Sale and many other stalls and tables available for local trade. 

The Fun Day will be a great opportunity for the community to get to know our staff and find out a little more about Glebe House – we can also arrange private tours of the Home on the day.”

The Glebe House Care Home Fun Day takes place Saturday 31st August, from 11am to 4pm, and is open to people of all ages.
